September 2018

  • Call for Abstracts The Beyond Sciences Initiative (BSI). BSI will be hosting its 4th Annual Remote Conference: Science & Society from February 9-10, 2019. This conference will take place online and allow individuals from across the globe to share their research and network free of charge. (Deadline: 30 November)

  • Call for Abstracts by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) for the Quality Promotion Conference 2019. This conference will take place from 26-28 February 2019 in Pretoria, South Africa. The theme for the conference is “Promoting Academic Integrity in Higher Education.” (Deadline: 30 November)

  • The Branco Weiss Fellowship – Society in Science is a unique postdoc program. It awards young researchers around the world with a generous personal research grant, giving them the freedom to work on whatever topic they choose anywhere in the world, for up to five years. (Open)

  • An opportunity for African scientists, researchers or students  to their make work, preliminary research results, or data openly available on AfricArxiv. (Open)

  • (RUFORUM call) Call for manuscripts: African Journal for Rural Development(AFJRD). This is an online open access scientific journal that publishes articles on a quarterly basis (March, June, September, December). It is a multi-disciplinary peer-reviewed journal with an ultimate purpose of sharing and increasing the depth of knowledge on aspects of sustainable rural development. Regular articles, short communications and reviews accepted. (Open)

  • IBM Digital-Nation Africa (D-NA) For JKUAT. Register for free, Learn for free. All Courses are free. Courses included: Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity, Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Coding. (Open)

  •  Call for Proposals USAID Grant Funding for Development Innovation Ventures. USAID has relaunched its open innovation program, Development Innovation Ventures (DIV), and is now accepting grant applications for products, technologies, services, or applications that can scale breakthrough solutions to critical global development challenges to improve millions of lives. Proposals for funding are accepted year-round. (Open)
