Breaking the Walls of Science Engagement in Kenya - Falling Walls x Berling Science Week - October 2020

Mawazo Institute’s Nairobi Ideas Platform was among the Falling Walls Science Breakthroughs of the year finalists. The Nairobi Ideas platform is comprised of free events including the Nairobi Ideas Night, a recurring informal public event for local researchers, scholars and other nerds to present their ideas to the public, and the Nairobi Ideas Exchange, which gathers participants to deep dive into issues in their unique fields of practice. We are excited to announce our new online learning community for African researchers; the Mawazo Learning Exchange (MLEx). MLEx is an e-learning platform for African researchers, designed to address some of the challenges faced by female scholars. MLEx also offers a library of resources and opportunities tailored to the African context, and is freely available to scholars everywhere.
