What does it mean to build women-led, feminist movements for women in research and science? What do these movements mean, and what do they look like? Do they create safe spaces for women to do research, for example? We hope that through this interactive webinar, this discussion will spark in-depth curiosity and provide an opportunity for female scientists to reflect on safe spaces for women in research, and what it means to create enabling and conducive ecosystems that help these women-led feminist movements and thrive within different spaces of innovation.
We bring together African women researchers and scientists eager to participate in the discussion while highlighting the key components of African feminist movement-building and the importance of such movements for our continent, including how women in different geographical spaces experience movement-building in their own work.
