Mawazo Institute will be hosting a Virtual Networking Event on Wednesday, 9th December 2020, to encourage the uptake of science and provide mentorship to young female African students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

The goal of this event is to provide an opportunity for young women to network with seasoned female African scientists across various fields in STEM. Thirty (30) young women who are enrolled in, or have graduated from Kenyan universities with degrees in STEM, will be selected to participate in the virtual event that will be held on Zoom.

With this event, Mawazo hopes to encourage the participation of young women in STEM, create opportunities for mentorship within the local ecosystem, and strengthen the pipeline of African women in STEM.
