As part of the 8th National Science and Technology Exhibition Week, the Mawazo Institute will host a panel discussion on addressing barriers to girls and women’s participation in the sciences (download the programme brochure). The panel will open with a keynote address by Dr. Rose M. Mutiso, Mawazo CEO and Co-Founder, followed by an engaging discussion featuring:

• Prof. Mary Abukutsa-Onyango (Deputy Vice Chancellor of Research Production and Extension at JKUAT)

• Dr. Jemimah Njuki (Senior Program Officer at Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC))

• Dr. Shikoh Gitau (Head of Products at Alpha, Safaricom Limited)

• Gladys Mosomtai, (PhD Candidate and Researcher at International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe))
