Kinjani Greenhouse 2.0 – Venture Builder Programme 2026.

The Kinjani Greenhouse 2.0 is a climate innovation venture builder offered by Kinjani, designed for people who want to start building climate solutions that regenerate industry in Africa. It accepts applications from community builders, recent graduates, technical professionals, and researchers at the earliest stage of a venture.

The programme helps participants move from a climate problem they care about to solving it through a commercial business model. Geared toward those who have encountered a climate challenge but do not yet know how to turn it into a venture, the Greenhouse provides a self-paced, three-month curriculum. Participants will explore practical climate innovation case studies, test ideas, and build the skills to communicate them clearly.

The programme culminates in a pitch event in August 2026, with access to USD 2,500 worth of business and leadership coaching awarded to five successful participants. Eligible applicants should be at the ideation or pre-venture stage, passionate about climate challenges in Africa, and ready to develop a commercially viable business model that regenerates industry on the continent. Global Impact Project Support Internship 2026

The Global Impact Project Support Internship 2026 is an internship offered by Global Impact, open to undergraduate students, master’s students, early-career researchers, and recent graduates in social sciences, business and economics, law and governance, interdisciplinary studies, and humanitarian affairs and fundraising. Based in Washington, DC, with a hybrid arrangement requiring at least one in-office day per week, the internship runs approximately four months with the possibility of extension and provides hands-on experience in humanitarian fundraising, nonprofit management, corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, and international development through research, client engagement, communications, project coordination, and fundraising strategy development.

Applicants must be current students or recent graduates with a demonstrated interest in international development, humanitarian response, fundraising, CSR, or nonprofit management, strong writing, communication, organizational, research, and time management skills, and U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available. University of Florence PhD Programmes 2026/2027.

COP31 Simulation Programme 2026 – Road to Antalya, Türkiye 

The COP31 Simulation Programme 2026 is a workshop offered by the British University in Egypt in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Egypt, open to undergraduate and master’s students, PhD students, early-career researchers, and youth climate leaders in climate and environment, law and governance, social sciences, STEM, and interdisciplinary fields, with participation from Egypt, across Africa, and internationally.

The programme simulates United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP) negotiations ahead of COP31 in Antalya, Türkiye, providing online climate diplomacy and negotiation training, policy research and mentorship, simulation conference activities, networking with global climate experts, and opportunities for selected participants to engage with actual COP processes and international climate platforms.

Applicants should be university students or recent graduates with demonstrated interest in climate action, sustainability, climate diplomacy, international policy, or environmental governance, and possess strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Foresight Fellowship 2026 

The Foresight Fellowship is a year-long programme by the Foresight Institute that supports exceptional scientists, technologists, entrepreneurs, and researchers working on frontier technologies with long-term societal impact.

The fellowship brings together emerging innovators across fields such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, neurotechnology, nanotechnology, longevity research, climate technologies, and space innovation. Participants engage in collaborative research communities, mentorship, technical discussions, networking events, and innovation-focused retreats, gaining access to the Institute’s global network of researchers, funders, founders, and policy leaders.

Eligibility is open globally to students, researchers, entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists, and independent innovators who demonstrate strong interest or experience in frontier technologies, show potential in research or technical leadership, and commit to advancing positive societal impact. African applicants are eligible.

The Hillary Rodham Clinton Research Fellowship 2026–2027.

The Hillary Rodham Clinton Research Fellowship 2026–2027 is a one-year, full-time research fellowship hosted by the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS) at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in Washington, DC. The fellowship is open to early-career researchers, Master’s and PhD graduates, and postdoctoral scholars working across Law & Governance, Social Sciences, Interdisciplinary fields, and the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda. It aims to advance evidence-based policy solutions by supporting emerging researchers in producing rigorous, policy-oriented research that addresses critical knowledge gaps on gender, conflict, peacebuilding, and security. The selected fellow will contribute to research, analysis, publications, and policy engagement while collaborating with leading scholars and practitioners. Research areas may include women, peace and security; gender and conflict; peacebuilding and conflict prevention; security policy; fragile and conflict-affected settings; women’s leadership and political participation; and gender-responsive governance.

Applicants must be in the final semester of a Master’s or PhD programme or have completed an advanced degree within the past three years, demonstrate strong knowledge of the WPS agenda and a background in gender and international affairs (particularly in conflict-affected or fragile contexts), possess excellent research and writing skills, and be committed to producing policy-relevant research and analysis.  The appointment includes a reported annual compensation of approximately USD 60,000–70,000, depending on qualifications and experience, along with mentorship and collaboration with leading WPS experts, professional development opportunities, and access to international policy networks. The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at McGill University 2026.

This is a fully funded graduate scholarship for talented young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa pursuing eligible master’s degrees in fields including Agriculture & Food Security, Climate & Environment, Education, Engineering & Technology, Health Sciences, Humanities & Arts, Law & Governance, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Business & Economics, STEM (General), and Interdisciplinary studies. Hosted by McGill University in Canada, the program targets academically strong early-career Master’s students who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential and a deep commitment to community service. As part of the broader Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, it seeks to develop transformative leaders who will drive social and economic change in their home countries. Scholars receive holistic support that combines rigorous academic training with leadership development, mentorship, career guidance, and opportunities to design and participate in community impact initiatives.

Applicants must be citizens and residents of a Sub-Saharan African country, admissible to an eligible master’s program at McGill, and must not have previously completed a master’s degree. They must show outstanding academic achievement, leadership promise, financial need, and a clear intention to return to Africa after their studies to contribute to development efforts. Fund for Innovation in Development (FID) Call for Proposals 2026.

The Fund for Innovation in Development (FID), chaired by Nobel laureate Esther Duflo and backed by the French Development Agency (AFD), invites applications on a rolling basis for innovative projects that tackle poverty and inequality in low- and middle-income countries. The fund supports solutions at every stage of maturity through a staged, evidence-driven model that integrates rigorous impact evaluation. Priority sectors include education, health, climate action, gender equality, agriculture, economic inclusion, governance, employment, social protection, and technology and innovation. Grants range from €50,000 for preparation activities (pilot or impact evaluation design) to €200,000 for pilots, €500,000 for innovation or evidence-to-policy grants, €1.5 million for full impact evaluations, and up to €4 million for scaling proven interventions. Eligible applicants include universities, research institutes, government agencies, public-sector bodies, NGOs, social enterprises, private companies, and consortia; individuals, multilateral organisations, and public international institutions are not eligible. The World Around Young Climate Prize Cycle 03 (2026)

The World Around is inviting applications for Cycle 03 of the Young Climate Prize, a global mentorship and award programme supporting young leaders under 25 who are developing innovative, community-rooted climate solutions. The programme recognizes self-initiated, practical, locally grounded, and scalable projects addressing climate change in areas such as waste management, alternative fuels, climate storytelling, food systems, ecology, sustainable architecture, material innovation, and community resilience.

Twenty-five finalists (“25 Under 25”) will participate in a three-month Design Academy, receive mentorship from global designers and climate leaders, attend workshops and storytelling training, gain international networking opportunities, and receive public exposure through climate and design platforms. Selected winners will present their work at The World Around Summit 2027 in New York City during Earth Week.

Applicants must be between 13 and 25 years old, founders or co-founders of an active climate-related project with measurable community impact, and must submit a short video presentation along with supporting written or visual materials. Teams of up to three members may apply if all meet the age criteria. Applications are open globally, including African applicants. Participation is free, and benefits include one-on-one mentorship, climate leadership training, access to the Design Academy, global visibility, an international peer network, potential travel support to New York City, and continued participation in the Young Climate Prize Fellowship community for three years after the programme.

The Global Good Fund Fellowship 2027

This is a selective, 12-month hybrid leadership development programme for early-career social entrepreneurs, recent graduates, and impact-driven founders working across Agriculture & Food Security, Climate & Environment, Education, Health Sciences, Business & Economics, and interdisciplinary fields in Africa-wide, Asia-Pacific, Caribbean, and Commonwealth countries.

The fellowship invests deeply in personal leadership growth rather than purely business mechanics, helping entrepreneurs scale their enterprises, raise capital, and deepen long-term social impact while they remain in their roles and participate in structured virtual coaching, business mentorship, and networking.

Primary sectors include Financial Inclusion, Environment, Education, Economic Mobility, and Health, though high-potential changemakers in other sectors are strongly considered. Eligible applicants must be a founder, co-founder, or senior executive with primary decision-making authority in an enterprise that has been operational for at least two years (earlier-stage, high-potential ventures may be evaluated for alternative programmes), have at least one full-time employee besides themselves, be fully committed full-time to the enterprise, be under 40 (candidates 40 or older must provide a clear rationale), demonstrate high coachability and a growth mindset, and not be receiving concurrent formal executive coaching or mentoring; the enterprise may be non-profit, for-profit, or hybrid.

The fellowship provides comprehensive support valued at over $10,000, including a $10,000 grant strictly for personal leadership development, a proprietary 360° Leadership Assessment, 1:1 virtual executive coaching with a personalized leadership plan, 1:1 virtual business mentorship with a global C-suite executive, and fully funded attendance at the Annual Global Good Fund Summit.

British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026–27 (University of Oxford – Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies).

The British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026–27, hosted by the University of Oxford’s Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies (AMES), is a prestigious three-year fellowship for exceptional early-career researchers in the Humanities & Arts, Social Sciences, and Interdisciplinary fields, with particular relevance to Asian Studies, Middle Eastern Studies, History, Languages, Literature, Culture, Religion, Politics, and Anthropology. AWIEF Pitch n Grow Competition 2026. 

The African Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) is accepting applications for the AWIEF Pitch n Grow Competition 2026, its flagship annual entrepreneurship competition designed to identify, support, and amplify promising women-led ventures across Africa. Under the theme “Deep Roots, Digital Futures,” the competition seeks to empower women founders who are leveraging deep technology and innovation to address Africa’s most pressing challenges while building scalable and sustainable businesses. The programme targets ventures operating in sectors such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, AgriTech, HealthTech, Clean Energy, Water Technology, Biotechnology, FinTech, Cybersecurity, EdTech, Smart Cities, Circular Economy, and other frontier technologies. Participants will compete under one of three tracks [Pre-Venture, Early-Stage, or Growth-Stage]depending on their level of business development. Selected entrepreneurs will receive expert-led training, mentorship from industry leaders and investors, exposure to potential partners and funders, and the opportunity to pitch live at the AWIEF 2026 Conference in Cape Town, South Africa. Displaced Livelihoods Initiative (DLI) Call for Proposals – Round V 2026

The Displaced Livelihoods Initiative (DLI) 2026 Call for Proposals is a grant offered by Innovations for Poverty Action and the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab, with support from the IKEA Foundation. It accepts applications from researchers in the social sciences, law and governance, business and economics, interdisciplinary studies, and other fields such as humanitarian and displacement research. Projects may be Africa-wide, global, or remote, and the opportunity is open to PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, early-career and mid-career researchers, and academic researchers. DLI funds rigorous research and evidence generation on sustainable livelihoods for displacement-affected populations—refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced persons, and host communities—with priority themes of resilience, entrepreneurship, wage employment, social cohesion, inclusion, rights and regulations, and sustainable livelihoods programming. Available grant categories and their maximum funding are: exploratory grants (USD 10,000), pilot studies (USD 75,000), full impact evaluations (USD 250,000), infrastructure and public goods projects (USD 250,000), evidence-use grants (USD 20,000), and conference travel grants (USD 4,000). To be eligible, applicants must be part of a research team that includes at least one university-affiliated researcher, demonstrate experience in research or policy-related work, focus on displacement-affected populations and livelihoods, align proposals with DLI research priorities, and ensure ethical research practices and required approvals. TWAS–Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme 2026 

The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), in partnership with the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), offers the TWAS–CUHK Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme for early-career researchers from developing countries. The fellowship enables researchers to undertake postdoctoral research in natural sciences and related fields,including biological sciences, physical sciences, mathematical sciences, engineering and technology, environmental sciences, and medical and health sciences at CUHK for up to two years.

Fellows work under established researchers, strengthening their scientific expertise, international collaborations, and research capacity. Eligibility requires applicants to be nationals of developing countries, hold a PhD in a relevant field, be no older than 45 at the deadline, not hold temporary or permanent residency in Hong Kong or mainland China, be regularly employed in a developing country with a research assignment there, provide an official acceptance letter from a CUHK host supervisor, and demonstrate English proficiency.

University of Melbourne Human Rights Scholarship 2026

The University of Melbourne Human Rights Scholarship 2026 is a fellowship for master’s and PhD students, early-career researchers, and postgraduate researchers in law and governance, social sciences, humanities and arts, interdisciplinary studies, and human rights. Open to both domestic and international applicants, it supports a Master’s by Research or PhD that advances human rights through research, advocacy, or community engagement.

Applicants must have applied for or received an offer for a graduate research degree, intend to research human rights, demonstrate commitment beyond academia (via voluntary work, professional experience, or advocacy), and not already hold a qualification at the same or higher level. The fully funded award covers full tuition, a living allowance of approximately AUD 44,500 per year (total value AUD 89,000–155,000), a relocation grant (AUD 2,000 domestic, AUD 3,000 international), and Overseas Student Health Cover for international students requiring a visa. Funding lasts up to two years for a master’s and up to 3.5 years for a PhD.
