The Mawazo Voices Programme amplifies Alumnae research innovations and policy work, connects their expertise to decision makers, and takes them beyond academia.

The Mawazo Voices Programme elevates the big ideas and public voices of African women researchers and thought-leaders, and connects their expertise to decision-makers beyond academia. Mawazo Voices provides them with (1) strategic communications and media training to translate research for public audiences, (2) platforms that amplify their work — including the Mawazo Ideas Digest, Mawazo Ideas Podcast, and public events — with editorial support for op-eds, briefs, and features, (3) policy engagement opportunities such as briefings, roundtables, and mentorship that link evidence to practice, (4) cross-sector partnerships with media, civil society, industry, and innovation actors to move ideas into action, and (5) ongoing community and opportunities through the Mawazo Connects alumnae network.

All Fellows join our network of past Fellows and continue to benefit from Mawazo’s support through the Mawazo Voices programme, which helps them build visibility, shape public discourse, and influence policy across Africa.
